Question RV Insurance

My wife and I bought a motor home recently. I currently insure with Oregon Mutual, who I have all my vehicle, homeowners and liability insurance with. I was recently reading an article in Motorhome Magazine that suggested one should insure with someone who specializes in RV's. Looking for any suggestions folks might have.

We've been with Foremost Ins. Co. since 1995 and have experienced absolutely no hassle claim service. Highly recommend them.

If your policy is a separate and specific one for a motorhome you are probably ok. If it's just a rider adding another VIN to your existing automobile policy, you need something different and specific to an RV. Otherwise your awning and your tv set are likley to be considered "personal property" rather than a part of the vehicle. In fact, many automative policies exclude nearly all electronics from coverage.

We use National Interstate. RV insurance, financing, warranties & more from Explorer RV

The Hartford also has a motorhome specific policy.
