The box behind the fuse panel may be the automatic transfer switch.

Having a very hard time understanding what your are talking about. It sounds like you tripped the breakers Turn off the RV main breaker and the smaller breakers in the RV and reset the house breaker. No turn on the RV breakers one at a time.

Unhappy RV Inverter/Converter power issues now

Let me take you back to what we have done.

1-changed the house battery's we have 2 of them
2-changed the chassey battery
3-hardwired it to the breaker in the house to 30 amp
4-replaced the converter to a new one we did go a bit higher on wattage it can handle
5-plugged in the RV
6 turned on the breaker and the lights came on and everything was working great for about a minute then the breaker popped and now even the main power does not light up the tank heater, pump or main power any more...

concerned it is all fried now... we used to be able to turn on the moter an the chassey battery would charge the house batterys and we would get light for a bit and heat with propane however the heater doesn't even work or the lights nay more and no pump for water.

We have a Fleetwood Fiesta 32 S , 2004 workhorse chassey RV

Any assistance would be awesome and thanks in advanced!

Was it a single pole 30 amp breaker or a double pole 30 amp breaker.

Single pole OK.

Double pole and use wires to both connection points, very bad.Click image for larger version

Does sound like the 30A source is 240V like a dryer outlet vs an RV 30A outlet

Especially with that statement "we hardwired it to 30A"?????

If so....yes you have fried any electronic controls/circuit boards that were on

Voltmeter to verify 30A source

Question RV Inverter/Converter power issues now

Oh wow i think we did fry our Battery control center circuit board then. Thanks so much now we are getting somewhere !!

1-i guess we need to use the correct end to plug the RV
2-replace the battery control circuit board

my second question is does the main breaker box have any thing to do with this as well? i will take a picture and show you how he wired it...to be continued.

If you sent 240 down the line, anything that runs on 120 volts, and was on, was hit with 240 volts.

Converter/charger, Microwave.......
