RV Maintenance and mechanical things.

I just wanted to let folks know that I have some videos up on You Tube that may help support your Class A maintenance. I have found a lot of useful information there and in forums such as this. My intent is to help.

If you search "RV Maintenance and mechanical things" it should get you there. May be a couple of my truck too. The one I'm posting now is on air dryer filter replacement. The next will be my struggle to get my Nocold working right. That has been an ongoing frustration. Not giving up yet. They say it is supposed to work and I like it. It only seems to work on AC under 80 degrees. The LP is working. I'm just not getting consistent cooling. It works better on AC than on LP, but neither very well over 80. Running a fan past the coils does nothing. I have only heard the original fans once for about 1 second.

Disconnected the thermister and actually seems to warm up a bit.

Then there is the chassis AC. Not sure if it the heater control or AC. Still need to troubleshoot. Evans AC.

I have been working on this 2004 Coachman Sport Coach Elite 401TS for many months. Seems not much was done prior except making the payments.:-(

Yes, refrigerators can be frustrating. Have you cleaned out the propane jet in the burner assembly? Whenever mine doesn't work, that's what I do. Here's the reason: when your coach sits for a long time, spiders are attracted to the smell of the propane and like to build homes in the mechanism. Cobwebs and spider parts are enough to clog things up. The orifice is very small, so it doesn't take much. Good luck!

On propane fired refrigerators, it is a common problem for poor cooling to be caused by a buildup of rust,in the bottom or the fame tube. Rust from the chimney drops straight down onto the flame orifice and lays or buildsup in that tube thus reducing the flow of gas to the fame. This results in a smaller, cooler flame that will keep the frig from cooling . Take the assembly apart and blow out the tube...then reassemble.
