I agree slide out are nice for space, but how do they holdup in a crash? From what I’ve read, and mind you I’ve only just started my research, not very well for whomever is unfortunate enough to be in front of it.
The bottom of mine are four feet off the ground. If I get broadsided by a car it's pretty much just going under it.

None of the structure on most motorhomes will take that kind of hit. If you have people belted into a couch facing sideways and you get broadsided, they're going to get hurt if just due to the lack of shoulder harnesses, whether the couch is in a slide or not.

We never walk around when in motion. There's just too much risk of falling from normal braking and accelerating.

If your planning a lot if traveling between RV parks, before you buy, be sure to test ride any Ford, F53, class A motorhone chassis.

If you read posts on this site, you will find that one of the biggest complaints of the F53 is about handling and driving comfort.

Much less then class Cs, diesel pushers and Workhorse chassis.

Which ever RV you buy, test drive it on and off the highways for more then a few minutes.
