RV Safety Band - Rettroband Alternative
https://www.rvia.org/news-insights/f...ket-conference

Newly introduced alternative to Rettrobands.
Since Rettrobands don't come in my size, I thought these might, but still no luck.

Run a test; call around to multiple tire shops and ask if they will work with this device. It must be installed after the first bead in on the rim, before the second bead is put on the rim. Many tire shops will not take the time and money to school minimum-wage tire changers on how to mount and remove them.

Is that different to how Rettroband is installed?

I think the design (RV Safety Band or Rettroband) is better than the Tyron band, but it's really expensive RV Safety Band is $1,699 (I think each, as it does not say "a pair"). I would like to have this on my Coach - but not at those prices.

The problem with all these bands (I have Tyron) is finding a tire shop that will work on them. I had to replace a steer tire and I wound up having to buy the removal tool ($375 with shipping). It took forever to find a place to get it changed. I can’t imagine roadside assistance being able to do it.

No amount of money can buy you an extra second of time.
