RV storage

I park my RV in my driveway which is not level. It slopes downhill and to the side. The left rear tire is about 6-7 inches lower than the right front and the coach leans left because of it. This is putting more weight on the left rear than on any other corner. Should I be worried about the extra weight my spring is having to support? And would using the leveling jack at that angle put too much sideways strain on the jack?

I'd keep it that way to keep the slope on the roof to reduce leaks. If you're keeping it long term, consider a gutter on the down side, or both sides.

Back when we had our Class A, our driveway was on quite a slope. Certainly more sloped than I would ever camp.

DO NOT use your leveling jack to correct a significant slope.
You may find your fridge developing troubles if it’s on a good slope a lot of its time. What type of fridge do you have? Gas absorption? Residential?

I don't think any of our 4 RVs were perfectly level when stored in our side yard or driveway either, although it does sound like your situation is a bit more extreme. I would at the very least drive left side of rig unto whatever amount of leveling pads or wood planks to get closer to level.

Of course don't run your RV absorption fridge while being so unlevel, as long as it is off you should be fine. Some will utilize their power jacks to take pressure off tires or suspension when stored for extended periods, we have not done so on any of the 4 RVs we have owned, your rig your call.

Tom, is that 6 or 7 inch difference just at the front axle? There will be a bit of twisting pressure on the chassis if the rear axle is more level side to side. I would not want to leave my rig parked like that when stored.

I have the same parking situation, left rear down 1-1/2", left front down 7-1/2", right rear OK, and right front down 6". What I did to level the motorhome up, was to build heavy duty ramps for the front and a 1-1/2' high wide platform for the left rear dual's. I used two treated 6x6 timbers about 5' that I cut with a chainsaw and bolted together with threaded rod for each side. For the left front ramp I added 2x6 pieces to reach the height I needed. I've used them for ten years so far and they're still holding up.

6-7" vertical difference between right front and left rear. The left to right difference is worse in the rear. The driveway side to side angle gets more severe in the rear. I think I'll back the left rear RV up onto some block ramps I have to make it level side to side without using the jacks.
