RV Sunshade vs. Magna Shade

We're debating which windshield cover to install on our Motorhome. We saw a RV Sunshade installer at our resort today and it appears to be a nice product. I've been leaning towards Magna Shades but my wife thinks it has a cleaner appearance. I'm not sure if I want anything drilled into our new MH yet. Anyone have experience with RV Sunshade? They made a good pitch on their product versus Magna Shade. I'm assuming both products accomplish the same protection. TIA

If I remember correctly, the RV sunshade installs with snaps requiring a ladder. The magna shades go up in seconds with a pole or two and no ladder. You may be different but the idea of pulling out a ladder to put up and take down each time would mean they go up for long stays and not for short.

Very happy with our Magna shades.

I have the Magna Shade and absolutely love them. Easy to put up and easy to take down, no ladder needed to fasten snaps. I friends have shade pro with snaps and they wish they would have gone Magna Shade.

You’re correct and the RV Shade tech mentioned that.

Another vote for Magna Shade. A bit over priced for what it is but it works as advertised. The big plus for me was no holes drilled in my coach and it is very quick to put up and take down.

Another happy Magne Shade owner here, only thing I don't like about them is the price, though they are well built, and the ability to put them up and take them down in under a couple of minutes without a ladder is great.

Another vote for Magne Shade. Well worth the price. Roger stands behind his products. One of my side shades, which was an early design purchased in 2009, blew away in 2016 and he redesigned and replaced them without charge (I paid for shipping).

I have older MCD that came with my coach. The work really good and are still new. Have used them several times but would definitely would prefer the Magna. Those snaps are no fun.

Wherever you are, take a walk around and look at the magneshades vs all others. You will not see a magneshade sagging unless it was a really poor self-install.

We've had Sunshade and now have a MagnaShade. Definitely prefer the Magna Shade.

WE looked at both and choose the Magna Shade and have been happy with it. Been in wind events of over 40 MPH and stayed put so far and that was my only fear. The down side of mine is the custom paint and the back of the shade is white and shows dirt, if had to do again I would just get the plain black one.

Thanks for all the comments! At the resort we're staying at (Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West) I estimate there are 3 RV Sunshades for every 1 Magna Shade. The group that services this location has a great sales pitch. Also, the coaches don't move much so the ladder and snap issue probably isn't as important. I'll probably go the Magna Shade route even though my wife likes the appearance of the Sunshades.

Was in a tornado and my MS got rip off and all the magnets were demagnetize. Send it back to MS and they sent me a new one at no cost. Great CS.
