Rv won’t start- possible electrical

Hello all. I have a 2009 coachman Miranda with a Ford chassis. I already replaced the battery and it’s good. When I try to start the coach I get nothing. I turn the key to accessories and let it sit for about 3 seconds, then I hear a thump from the back and the “check gauges” light comes on the dash cluster . I don’t think it has anything to do with the starter or that end of it- it seems like there is a protection feature that is not allowing the rv to start. The thump is odd- possibly a problem with switching from shore power to 12 volt? Note the rv is in storage so I haven’t tried starting it while plugged into shore power. The rv has been sitting for about 3 months. Any ideas as to what this could be?

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I'm not familiar with your rig so can't offer a suggestion! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

I would plug a code reader into the OBD port and pull a code. That will tell you where to look. Good luck!

Love my 1999 v10. 68000 miles only normal maint. Put in new O2 sensors. Buy ford parts. New belts and pullies. Radiator fluid changes etc. You should have no problems for 5yrs on brakes. If you want more insight call 321 999 4555 will be glad to talk.

Try jumping direct from battery to starter solenoid.if no start try direct to starter. If it starts it a safety factor ford installed. Trans in neutral. Could be key switch.
I put in a push to start button. Looks factory. Bypasses all of fords stuff. Connected directly to solenoid. If still no start its the starter. Recommend replacement
Of starter. If it cranks but doesnt start check fuel system.

Possible little critter damage? I ask because chipmunks ate part of my boat wiring. Try to start- nothing. Maybe check fuses underneath. Possible some solenoid not letting current pass properly. Had that with a Dodge once. Just a bizarre sound but, no crank.
