RVA jack problems

On my 99 diplomat I have the RVA leveling system. while attempting to level this weekend the jacks would extend as they should but when I would release the switch the pump motor would continue to run, It would get so hot it would start smoking then it would stop. Anyone know what would cause this to happen?

I would think it would have to be one of two possible problems. Both can be checked at the pump. One it might be the control board is still sending power to the pump relay, which would keep the relay engaged. Or the relay is stuck in the closed position keeping the pump running. Can you post a picture of your pump relay so we can see how it is wired, or the model number may give us a place to look up the schematics. Doug.

I had a simular problem and in my case it was a bad control switch.

I took the solenoid off and put it back on. It now works every time. Thinking maybe I should call RVA and see if they can send me another one just in case it quits again. Thanks for suggestions
