Well I live in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. Most of you are right in that there are few R/Vs here. I have seen a handful of class A's C's and B's. The A's are mostly used as offices at worksites and some by the film/movie industries for their privileged stars. The B's and C's are used by some that don't have permanent homes. They are not allowed during the night (10pm-5am) in most city or county parks, so these folks usually pull in different residential neighborhoods every night and just keep moving night to night. Not real camping. There used to be a beautiful private campground in the Laiea area on a wonderful bay. Tent and RV camping was allowed for about $5.00 per night per person. They were forced to close due to lack of proper septic systems and not being able to afford the proper systems for waste. My family would tent camp there two to three times a year. Missing the camping thing, it forced us to buy and store a class A on the mainland. Now we can Glamp on the mainland two to three times a year and more often this year as retirement quickly approaches. Living the life!
