Safe -T - Plus

I have a blue safe-t-plus installed on a Frieghtliner chassis. The unit has begun to leak oil. Does anyone know if this unit can be rebuilt?

It can be. Contact Safe-T-Plus. Best and fastest way is to exchange. You might want to remove it and see if the there is a significant difference.
'92 Gulf Stream Sun Voyager. Tweaked 5.9 Cummins, complete interior makeover (previous owner).

When I had Safe-T-Plus on a '95 Bounder, it was nothing but a large spring inside a sleeve that gave the appearance of a shock absorber. There was no oil to leak. Maybe yours is different than what mine was.

I will call them directly on Monday. I really dont want to shell out another 500.00 for a new one. It is my understanding the warranty is for only 2 years and this unit has been installed for 7 years this month.
