As a someone who spent 20 years underway....nothing. At least not anything that I've ever heard onboard a ship.

I was once corrected by a salesman when I referred to a Gasser as a Coach at the Hershey RV Show. His definition.. in order to fall into the Coach category it has to be a DP. Not sure if his rule is industry standard.

Coach is easier to spell, vs motorhome, after a couple of cocktails in the salon.

A yacht has a salon; a workboat or ship, probably not. A yacht's salon, after a week or so out, is more properly known as a pig-sty.

And believe it or not, aft of the "engine room" is sometimes something called the "shaft room" or "screw room." Seriously. It's where the prop shafts pass through the "shaft log."

For your edification. LOL

I don't consider a motorhome a coach until it reaches at least 40 feet in length, has a tag axle and is propelled by a diesel engine.

I can hear the resort owner now......Motorhomes are simply not allowed at Bushwood sir.

Hi Joe! It seems if your living area looks like this

And you have paid in excess of 1.5m for your Coach, I often see this part of the living area refereed to as a "Salon"

Not much help here.Tom

Nooooo, not so much. Saloon and Salon are two distinctly different words with different meanings! Check out the definitions. Salon defined in previous post. Saloon, I think everyone recognizes for what it is. (imagine old western movie) Can't really picture John Wayne walking into a "Salon" and ordering a Whiskey!

Well, I consider my 32' front-engine gasser to be a coach, as it was built by Coachmen... I mean, what else would they build? But I don't believe it has a salon... just a living area that doubles as a saloon.
