Samsung 197 install
We just had a Samsung 197 installed in our Damon Tuscany. The installation took one day. they install 3 to 6 a week. Refrig looks great and it took less than 3 hours for it to get cold and 4 hrs to make ice. Alliance coach in Wildwood Florida did the install. They try to keep 4 to 6 in stock. One note. Many people show they had SouthCo door locks installed. interesting that Samsung altered the refrig. Alliance does not use the southco locks because of the change made by Samsung. Apparently the some cooling coils run up the sides where one would put the drawer locks. also across the front where the doors and drawers are. They used to install the locks but after drilling into a coil they now use Velcro to secure the doors.

I have been thinking about putting one in my rev. Getting her out of storage this week and start looking at my upcoming project.

Just curious, did they add any batteries, change or add another inverter to run the fridge. Also, if it's not to personal, what did the install cost.

We ditched the Not-So-Cold and had the Samsung 197 installed plus we had the Magnum 2812 inverter with new control board installed, for me do it right the first time. I made my own door lock without useing velcro on and off in 5 seconds.
We had the Xantrex 458 Freedom Inverter and the Samsung would have ran on it but I don't like having to take time out to fix an RV so I did it all at one time. Microwave, pc, vacuum cleaner and the wife sewing machine will run better on PSW plus my inverter is on all the time.

When they did mine, they removed a side window out with the old in with the new replace window change wiring at box to run on inverter side install inverter and control panel trim in frig. Took 7hrs total= $740.00 with no added batteries yet, I have 4 6v batteries.
This is just like my install but in an 07 Country Coach Samsung Refrigerator Install
Made my own door lock before the installed it works great, holds all 3 doors at one time.

I used 3500 PSI Epoxy to glue my South-co latches in place. No drill no holes. Hope this helps some one out.

Could you please share.
