Sanitizing fresh water reservoir

I have a 2015 Winnebago Forza with no gravity fill. Can someone talk me through how to add Clorox/water mix into reservoir?

Either put in hose then connect your hose to fill the tank. Or use the winterize suction line if equipped and switch to fill the tank like using the hose. If you have a whole house filter, you can remove filter which should be anyway and put bleach in there.

I use the winterizing line and pump a bleach water mix into the tank.

Here are the steps you asked for

I just read somewhere (can't remember exactly where, but I think it was one of those articles at the bottom of this website when you first login) that using bleach can—over time—damage your seals. In the past I have used bleach but have since switched to Clorox II. The process is the same.

Here's a link that will explain all the steps to sanitize your tank:

Clorox 2 is not recommended to sanitize drinking water. It is the residual action of chlorine that makes water safe. Here is the instructions direct from Clorox company.

If you have a filter, remove the element and add a bleach solution or just the funnel into the hose. Make sure you dilute it some first.

I just did ours last night. We have a gravity fill, but this time I just pulled the hose out (we have a 50' hose on a reel in the wet bay), made sure the hose had enough room in it and poured two cups of bleach into it , hooked it up to the faucet and filled the tank. Worked great.

I just did mine and had a hard time finding a way to get it in. Then I walked around to the other side of the coach and found a vent on the other side of the tank. the cap was not glued on so I diluted the bleach and poured it in there.

I stopped using household bleach years ago. I switched to Sodium Dichlor dry granules. It's sold at swimming pool supply stores. I bought one packet about 6 years ago and about half remains. It must be stored in a water and air tight container. The way I sanitize my fresh water tank/system bottom half of that page.
Pool shock, or Calcium Hypochlorite granules,is a very similar chemical to Sodium Dichlor. Both are used the same way in a swimming pool to disinfect water.
