Ad for 2003 Fleetwood for $30,000 and 2 ads for 2007 Fleetwoods one blue for $65,000 and one brown for $60,000. DW and I contacted each, all were the send money and will deliver for free with 5 days for inspection. All ads posted by Mark A Kinberger. The pictures were from different sites. I emailed the rvclassified, not heard from them yet.

I can't believe anyone would send money to buy something they never have seen, but I guess there is a reason scams like this happen

All sorts of things going on these days. I just can't believe someone would fall for one of these schemes. Be careful out there even contacting these people.

We noticed many of these bogus ads when we searched for our coach a couple years ago. We telephoned some to make contact and the person answering had no idea about the ad and didn't even have an RV. If something looks too good to be true it's probably not true. Unfortunately these ads cast a bad light on to legit personal ads. We would only consider ads from reputable dealers at this point if we were looking.

The scammers get real creative. I have a listing on Craigslist that they offer to buy site unseen using PayPal. I use e-bay a lot and feel pretty secure using PayPal.....but the way the scam works is the scammer pays PayPal with a stolen credit card, you ship the item, the credit card company contacts PayPal, PayPal refunds the money to the credit card company and then trys to collect the lost money from you. Just google craigslist scams.

RV Scam by Mark A Kinberger & RVclassified
Hello all as I am new to your forum and found it by looking for RV Scams. My wife and I have had 6- total run ins with this or these guys. They move the vehicle location and then come back and tell you they have it listed on numerous sites so it may not be were it is shown. We were already to pull the plug when paperwork came thru and did not look right. They were using Amazon payment, Which I am familar with. I called Amazon and was told not their invoice so I emailed Amazon. They got back right away and said it was bogus. I filed a complaint with the Internet Fraud but have not heard from. Since that time the Holiday Rambler has move no less than five time to different locations. I find this interesting as we live in Wisconsin and were looking for a unit we could drive to, to inspect. I would like to know were I could post this info. nationally, as I would like to see them go away. I did talk to one of them on the phone at length and as the story goes he is liquiding asset to save his business. Buyer Beware. Nitehawk69

I also experienced the same BS. Saw many RV's for sale at very attractive prices. Started to call on a few and turned out I ended up speaking to the same guy. Said he worked for a trucking company that took the RV in on a trade. Same story twice and I knew something was up.
The sad part is it gives people the wrong impression what the actual market value is. I know I could find a similar RV online for 60% of what I paid. Only it doesnt exsist. So when I did find an actual RV it makes you wonder if you paid too much. Cause which ads are real and which ones are bogus? As stated before: best to just assume if it seems to good to be true, it probably is.

I have a simple rule: No money changes hands till I meet the seller, see the title, and drive the RV.

This problem is not isolated to RV's. It is a nation wide scam used with all different types of vehicles.
Last week I was looking for a used Honda Accord for my daughter. I saw what I thought was a good deal on CL and called the ad. First I noticed the called number showed up as "private" on my cell phone. I talked to a person that seemed nice, then I started asking too many questions the seller hung up on me. I called him back 3 different times and he never did answer.
This same scenario happened a couple more times before I found a valid PP ad. (Found a beautiful car for DD)
Scam Alert
The seller will say there is much interest in the vehicle for sale, but if you send an electronic down payment right away, (not the full selling price) they will hold it for you.
