Scanguage Cable

I have a 2004 Revolution 40C DP
It DOES NOT have a data port under the dash., only in the rear engine compartment. I have verified this with Fleetwood.

Is there a cable to route the scanguage 40' to the front drivers area.

Don't know of one, but I would call Scanguage and ask them. Might also just cut the wire and splice in the # of wires needed, all you really need is the correct data plug for your RV. But As I say I would talk to the pro's.

Ron,
Kind of had the same problem you are having so I ordered a blue tooth OBDII.
Have had a scan gauge for over 10 years and really liked it. But, this thing is even better to me.
I got a BAFX 34t5 and just connect it to my phone and there is a ton of info. I never saw before. Very easy to customize to what you want. Paid like 25.00 on Amazon. I do believe you can get a cable from scan gauge though.
Good luck with which ever way you go.

.
Did Fleetwood build the chassis wiring harness ?
I'd be tempted to contact the chassis manufacturer.

Scan Gauge D comes with a diesel dual plugin. 2 types on diesels. A forty foot cable is very long and the wire gauge is very small. Signal loss?

I would guess and only guess if the signal is strong enough for other brands to have the port under the steering column it would be the same distance. Remembering the install the plugin on the gauge maybe just phone cable(not the data port end) so extensions maybe readily available. Again just call ScanGuage. 480-656-4089

The ScanGauge D is required for your coach. It is not OBDII rather has two interfaces - a J1939 or J1708. My 09 Cummins uses the J1939 port. I doubt that there would be an extension to run to the rear of the coach. I would check with the chassis manufacturer to see if there is a port in the coach. If you were looking for an OBDII, you might have missed J1939 port. Good luck.

I realize it's not an OBD port. Maybe I used the wrong term . It's actually the J1708 6 pin data port.
I've sent an inquiry to Scanguage but, have not gotten a reply.

I may check with Freightliner about a front port. Fleetwood is usually very knowledgeable about things and they seemed knowledgeable about this port.

I talked to Scanguage today and was told I can use a straight thru (patch cable) Ethernet cable to route from my rear J1708 connector to the Scanguage D display in front

Now all I need to do is route it the 40' from the engine area to the drivers area.

I'll post on how it works out.

A standard Ethernet patch or straight thru cable does work.
I bought a 50' cable and it works fine .
