Scratching my head ?

OK put on your thinking caps, the one for stupid problems.
I was vacuming the rug and lost power in the plugs only !
None of the plugs in the coach worked except one--the GF one in the bathroom.
I tried all of the inverter fuzes, nothing, I blew them before and the mech. showed me the fuzes. (Not this time)
After playing around for an hour, I went and got the long extention cord so I could have power, when I pluged the darned cord into the GF plug, all of the power came back- I hurried and got the vacume done and when I unpluged the cord, all the plugs went dead again.
I finnaly found that if I only pushed the plug in half way I had power.
Oh yes I did the"reset" a bunch.
Should I replace the GF Plug in the morning ??

To continue, The gfci plug in the bath protects most of the outlets in the rv. I have two gfci's that both protect a number of outlets. Sounds like a fault inside the outlet!

Its a fault in the GFCI OR a wiring issue at the GFCI, wither way, it needs to come out.

Larry....If you look in your power cord bay, you'll see your transfer switch against the back wall. There will be a solid copper wire (about an 1/8" in diameter) that runs from the transfer switch to the frame just behind your power bay. The wire is the ground for your entire 110v electrical circuit.

The ground wire is screwd to a bronze lug that is screwd to the frame. Disconnect the power and unscrew the bronze lug. Clean the frame and the lug and screw it back into the frame. Tighten the screw on the lug that is holding down the copper wire. While the power is off, remove the transfer switch cover and tighten all the wire hold down screws. Do the same for your circuit breaker box.

Afyer six years, you'll find that some of your wiring connections will vibrate loose and can sometimes cause the GFI to fail or at least shorten it's life.
