Screen Room/ Privacy Room

Good morning everyone!!

Does anyone own and use a privacy room to add additional space to your motorcoach? I have looked at several install videos and they seem to be centered around TT or Class C. Carefree seems to make a nice product but again showing install on a Class C.
If you do not use a screen room do you go with a seperate, unattached room that you can buy from REI?

By a 'privacy room' I guess you mean a screened-in awning area? A typical RV awning can have curtains or screen panels attached. Problem is, in a wind storm they need to be dismantled and furled up again before damage is done. I seldom use the awning at all, we either leave the campsite or live inside the RV.

I'm sure others will chime in and tell different stories, but that's what makes RVing interesting, different strokes for different folks.

I bought a carefree add-a room a couple of years ago and never used it. It is in my garage looking for a new owner......any ideas? I think it is for a 14' awning but I will have to check.

stand alone screen room - Clam Quick Set

We have a Clam Corp QuickSet 9879 brown and tan. very fast setup less than a couple minutes, no see-um screen so no "little" creatures get in. Pretty light weight comes in a great carry bag. Look at the Youtube videoson set up. collapses into bag about 7Inch in diameter and about 6ft long. Had it for a year love it! On amazon

are you asking for a 'separate' room, or a 'screen' for privacy?

We have a stand alone screen room we picked up at a local discount store. It works pretty good, but is a real bear to set up. We wil be buying a Clam before our summer trip.
As others said, hooking up a screen room to teh awning is a pain and needs to be taken off before the awning comes in... the awning on our coach comes in during high wind events and whenever we leave the site for more than a few minutes

my full length privacy screen rolls up with my awning - and I have two separate 'side screens' for the ends that hook on the end of the awning and the side of the coach. It's not 'gnat' proof, but good for privacy, cut glare on outside tv, etc.

I've seen screen rooms attached to the awnings of RV in parks with permanent residents. Some of them look like they haven't been taken down in several years. Wind might not be as big a problem as some folks think it is.

I guess the ones I've seen weren't one of those 7 you referenced.
