So does mine. Hard to see but the case is just above the front door and front porch light.

How difficult is it to add a front awning over the front door if there is not one there?
I am guessing that one would want it to be motorized and controllable from inside the coach, of course. Otherwise, why bother?

My awning over the door is not motorized, but is very easy to open. Only takes a split second. Pull tether with rod, slip tether into holder. I get wet every day in the shower, a little rain won't hurt me.

I just purchased a 99 Safari Serengeti mid entry door. I searched for two years and perused these pages and many other sites to learn and gather info. I really didn't think about advantages of front/mid entry until I came across one thread that made the choice for me.
It basically said the choice for them was mid, living full time carrying groceries and supplies from the front was much harder than mid. Got me to think about it. Plus my Geti has a latched solid wood fold down to cover stairway.
As for your search I would add looking at years PRE-DEF. Just a thought.

We also carry kayaks on the floor in our gas coach, it would be imossible to do so a front door dp as we have to extend the slide to swing them in. Maybe they could be carried in the basement storage at an angle if the storage was wide enough.

I can see you have never used a front entry coach. I have no problem exiting the coach with the copilot in place.
You also have not looked at very maney coaches. Most better quality coaches have an awning over the door.
Look here. 2008 Fleetwood American Tradition 42F Priced at $ 169500
or
2009 Tour Master Bath & Half CONSTELLATION for Sale - D105CL - PPL Motor Homes
I use to think I had to have a drivers door, but have learned it isn't necessary.
Saying you have to have a mid entry is cutting out 90%+ of the coaches out there.

The passenger doesn't have to move for you to go outside. There's plenty of room to do so.
As stated, door awnings are available. However, it's not going to keep you completely dry - no awning will. You're going to have to get out of the car and walk to the awning.
Mid-door stairwell can be a safety hazard for small children so keep that in mind. Plus, it breaks up the room. It's right out there everytime you walk from one place to another. The front door is at least more remote that you don't have to walk by it constantly.
When fueling there's always crude around the pumps. We kept a carpet remnant from the front door to the driver's seat so no worry about taking off shoes or getting oil stains. When it got dirty we just replaced it.

We just purchased a 2008 Monaco Safari Simba yesterday. It is a 2008, 35 ft with the CAT diesel. It only has 4,000 mile on it. Like new inside and out. This our first time owning a diesel pusher. Looking forward to this RV season. Plan is to keep this RV for 10yrs then upgrade to our final RV.

So when was the last time you heard an owner on IRV2 complain about their rig --just like kids or grand-kids--they are "perfect" in everyway [smile]. Some time back when, the industry decided front doors were the "traditional" means of entry [like Greyhound busses maybe], the "herd" followed. Except for a few models from Newell, and maybe a few others, mid-doors have generally been relegated to less expensive coaches. As mentioned earlier, M/Ds do modestly compromise basement and floor-plan space. However, a safe nest for the DW's travel resources, no wind noise ever, no broken step cover, and a window that opens are priceless [though hard for the driver to fully appreciate]. To each their own, so if you want an M/D--go for it.
PS--I do love those cute little door awnings.....
