Selling MH

We are putting our MH up for sale. Any tips on good places to list it? I just did put it up on Craigslist. Any other tips would be great.
Thanks a bunch.

The classifieds here on IRV2 would be good. I would also list it on RVTrader.com, and you may want to select their option of advertising it until it sells!

One caution on Craigslist (and any other list for that matter). Unless you personally know the buyer, tell them that you will only accept a direct transfer of funds between their bank and yours! DO NOT accept money orders or cashiers checks! When I advertised a 5th wheel on Craigslist, I got two or three scam e-mails a week!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

One thing is to tell them you have a complete list of all maintenance records. Also, if you have an extended warranty that is transferable they would love that as well.

AS MSHappyCampers said put it on RVTrader and be aware of craigslist. I have bought and sold on craigslist but as they said I got a lot of scam artist trying to buy my stuff with money orders or bank drafts. I then foundout the bank drafts are phony. So are the money orders or they put a stop payment on them as soon as you make the deal.

RVOnline and RVT are a good source for used DPs.

We sold our truck on Ebay, make sure it is a direct transfer if possible. No checks. Our guy came with $40,000 in cash, we met at a bank, walked into the bank and got a check.

We were shocked he showed up in cash, he did say it would be a cashiers check drawn on Wells Fargo so we met inthe Wells Fargo parking lot so it could be verified.. Shocked when he showed up with cash.

As Okie wrote, mention the ESP as it can add a little more peace of mind to a potential buyer.
