Selling motorhome

We have a class a 2006 motorhome. It is in the shop for engine repairs. We've been thinking about getting out of camping and not putting money into fixing the coach. Has anyone used or know of a website called HeyRV.com? I've tried searching for reviews and not much there. If we have to sell it we would like it to be as painless as possible. It is a very tough decision. Some places will only buy a coach that is 10 years old or newer.

Thanks

I've not had any dealings with HeyRV.com but we recently sold our Georgetown motorhome. Ultimately, we sold it through Facebook Marketplace, but we did list it with a company called PopSells or PopSellsRVs. You can list it with them for no charge, they will advertise it nationally on their website and other RV sales sites. There is no charge unless you actually sell it through them, then they retain a 10% commission.

While listed with PopSells you are free to still advertise and show it yourself - just not list it with any other "atency".

They had a rep come out (drove almost 100 miles one-way) and take photos and build the advertising page on their site, they kept us informed of activity/interest in our coach and I recommend them in addition to your own efforts. We kept them aware of any names from our own leads, and they provided us names of leads they generated so we avoided conflicts. The rep also came back for a showing scheduled through his company.

We had it listed on PopSells at a higher price than on FB Marketplace to help cover some of the 10% commission and as I said we ultimately sold it ourselves and avoided any fees with PopSells.

Our rep from PopSells was very good and we appreciated his efforts.

In the end if your coach sells through PopSells, they handle all the paperwork, transfer red tape, etc. and you get a check for the sales amount less 10% from PopSells.

Are you looking to sell it running or not?

If it is at shop non running, you probably will have some time pressures. What level of repair is needed. Are you fixing it for now or looking to sell where is as is? Will there be storage charges. As it costs so much to move and store these things non running you will to be heavily discounted. If not in ideal condition and a highly desirable model you may even have to pay to get rid of it. This is part of the risk with running an older RV especially with the todays cost of labor.

Like the earlier post, I sold ours on Marketplace. Buyer came over with cash
(all $20's !) ----I didn't want to take a chance with potential for counterfeit bills, so we went to the bank, where they counted it and checked it out and then deposited in my account before I signed the title.

for those who have used FB marketplace - how do you get broader coverage for your ad ?
the best I can see is to get to a 500 mile range - maybe thats good enuf, but was just curious.
We are going to move fwd and put our coach up for sale.
thanks for feedback !
