Service Star Vehicle Protection
Has anyone had any experience with Service Star Vehicle Protection and their RV service contract? I understand the parent company is American Guardian Warranty Services, Inc. located in Glen Ellyn, IN.
Has anyone had any experience with the other service contract company I have rec'd a quote from, CornerStone RV Extended Service backed by Wesco Insurance of Florida.
I am looking into acquiring a service contract on my 2007 DSDP 4023.
Any feedback provided is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Where are you going to get your RV serviced?
I'd go to them and ask about how they like to deal with that company.
Over the years I've talked to RV service places and heard some horror stories of trying to get things authorized by these third party companies.

Arch,
Each of the dealers gives great reviews to the agreements they offer.

If they have worked with them and like them that's a pretty good review. I assume you talked to the service department....
Do those dealers sell that particular plan?

Cannot find any online reviews. I would lean toward a more well known and reputable source.

One dealer is a very large DP dealer of high end mh and the other is a large RV trailer dealer. Both offer service contracts that they speak highly of. The only service contract I can find reviews readily Online is Good Sam but they are not very favorable in several reviews.

Before you buy any service contract, make sure you under what is required of YOU to maintain the components that are covered. If you don't follow their requirements of maintenance you stand a chance of having a claim denied. You may be better off putting the cost of the contract into the bank and add to it each month. Just my 2 cents.

The dealers make huge profits from contract sales. Of course they like them!
Read the entire contract. Pay attention to what is excluded.
Without positive reviews, I would not consider them. But they have no reviews at all.
Either decline,
or buy it and provide the first reviews?

What about Cornerstone RV Insurance? Does anyone have any experience with them? is it really worth $4000 to get this insurance for 60,000 miles?

A friend of mine bought the Cornerstone policy for his '04 Endeavor after studying a lot of different offerings. He is very pleased. Six months after he bought the policy, his radiator developed a leak and Cornerstone paid a bit of $4000 to replace it. Naturally, he is glad that somebody else paid the bill, but he also said that Cornerstone was cooperative and friendly - he recommends them highly.
As to whether it's worth $4000 for 60k miles, there is no way to judge unless you can tell the future. It's an insurance policy - you are happy to have it if you need it, but mad cause you wasted money if you don't.
I declined to get a new repair policy when mine expired in late 2011. So far I'm happy with that decision, but that could change at any time.

Warranty for Coach with 100,000 are more miles?
Are there any reputable companies that would offer an extended warranty on say a 2000 American Tradition TVS with 100,286 miles on it?
