Sewer kits

What do most people like for sewer kits? 2 ten foot hoses for 20 or one 15? I never seem to be more than 15 and then when only 10 I have lots of extra.

We use 1 15ft 99% of the time. Carry a 10ft extension just in case. Only used once in 3 years. The fewer connections the better. Less chance of leaks.

2 hoses - 1 older for everyday use. 1 newer for long reaches that I rarely ever need. The "newer" one get cycled into "older" when needed and I buy a new "newer" one.

I recently spent a couple hundred dollars for a macerator system and couldn't be happier. Generally, no more stinky slinky. It discharges through a hose and can even go uphill. In many cases (including mine) this makes it so a person can dump at home to a location higher or farther from where the RV parks. Using the toilets all the way until home and skipping the dump station lines on Sundays when heading out is priceless.

We are able to use a quality 15’ sewer hose 99 % of the time. We carry one 10’ and one 20’ sewer hose extension, both conveniently stored in an 8’ sewer hose carrier mounted under the coach adjacent to the service bay. On average we need to use each extension about once or twice a year; and both once in the last 9 years. Definitely handy when needed! Each extension has a bayonet connector (that fits nicely in the carrier) on one end “permanently” attached with a screw-on hose clamp; and on the other end twist-in connectors are used with the added security of a hand-tightened hose clamp (more convenient and effective) to avoid leaks or unexpected separations!

I've been happy with our Sewer Solution for 5 years. We have a 15' hose with a 10' extension. The extension gets used enough to make a necessity in my opinion.

I would go for two 10' hoses. Most of the time one will be enough, but it's sure nice to have that extra one when you need it!

Rarely do you need more than 15 feet. Like many others have posted, I keep an extra just in case. I also have the macerator which I don't use real often but it is worth its weight in "something" when you need to pump uphill and the hose is tiny so easy to store.
