Shiny Polished Floor Tiles - Who has them?
Looking a high end coaches (like Newell and Foretravel) in the magazines, I see they all seem to have very shinny, highly polished floor tiles.
The lights reflect off them and that helps make the coach look very high end.
I wonder if they would be very slippery.
Does anyone have these glossy floor tiles? Are they slippery?
Would it be a mistake to use a marble (marble-like) or glossy-tile throughout the coach?

You could skate on them when they are wet. Also a little slick in socks.

Our MH has high-gloss tile everywhere except bedroom and living room, it is not slippery, however it is COLD on bare feet. The walk to the kitchen to start the coffee maker really wakes me up quickly.

I have no experience with them but marble is a fairly soft stone and I've wondered how they hold up to sand which is generally hard. Just something to think about.

We have marble floors from the entry steps all the way to the bedroom. The floors are very shiny, continue to look new, but they are slippery.

The tile I used are polished porcelain and they aren't that slippery as far as I'm concerned. We love the look and neither one of us have ever felt like they are slippery. We almost always take our shoes off at the top of the steps when we come in. The tile I used came from Home Depot, they are called Pietra Onyx 12 X 24 Polished. Home depot only stocked them in 18 inch tiles but I was able to order the 12 X 24s. Just go to home depot and set one on the floor and stand on it in your socks to see what you think. The heat under it is really nice too.

I looked at the actual name of my tile from Home Depot and it is MSI Onyx Crystal 12 X 24 Polished Porcelain. They also have it in different colors than Crystal.

I don’t know if you would classify my tiffin as high end, but the floors are shiny. There not cold either, their heated. Was told not to put a rubber backed rug on the floor when using the heat, so we don’t and the rugs move a little.

Hope this considered on-topic: Ours are not shiny but they may have been at one time. Any suggestions on what to use to see if there is some shine left? Normal cleansers haven't done any good.

It is the "shinny" look I like (as in your photo). Your Tiffin is high-end.
I should not have said "marble" that distracted from my question, I think Porcelain would be better - but whatever material is used, its the high gloss look I like. I would not want to cover it with floor runners as that defeats the purpose.
So some say they are slippery, and some say it's not too slippery.

The floor runners or rugs give it a homey feel. From bottom to top of the price range of a DP, a 40 ft Phaeton is in the first 50% from the bottom in price. The heat in the floors are a nice option, the porcelain is standard. They clean fairly easy also with a micro pad.

Tuscany has the polished ceramic and it looks very nice, easy to clean and yes it is slippery so we use runners
The two replacement tiles that come with the coach are very heavy
After three years it still looks just like it did day one
