Shore power charging problem

My husband and Son just added Lithium batteries and a new Battery monitor plus rewired our coach. The problem he's having is the the solar is doing all the powering/charging (which is great) but no power is going through the inverter/converter to charge the batteries at night or very cloudy day. He figures it's a bad fuse or wire but he is having trouble following the wires through the coach to figure out what. It's a new (as of May) Magnum pure sine converter/inverter. Any ideas would be appreciated or point us to a good schematic.

Go through the owners manual on the inverter , to see if the charge system portion requires a special setting to handle the Li batteries .

You said it was a pure since wave inverter....does it have a built in charger? If it is high end RV model it should but many inverters on the market don't have built in battery chargers. You need a battery charger, other than the solar charge controller. IF the manual shows your model of inverter has a built in charger then check the fuse, charger settings and charger connections. Good luck

Thanks-yes it does have a built in charger. Everything in the coach works through the inverter but the batteries don't charge from the inverter. the batteries will charge from the solar during the day

Check for breakers on the inverter/charger ( not a converter ). Sometimes they trip due to overload. There should be breakers in the main breaker box too.

The charging cables are the same 2 large battery cables that come from the unit to the batteries. If it creates 120 volts without shore power, then the cables are good.

more info

reading another thread and here's some clarification
the shore power will run everything in the rv, the generator will run everything in the rv. Solar will charge the battery during the day but shore nor generator will charge the batteries so the charge goes down at night even though the coach is plugged in.

What is shown on the Magnum remote panel? Can you post a picture? Suspect it is a setting in the remote panel.

Either your charger is not turned on, you don't have a charger, or the charger isn't properly wired to the battery bank. I'm talking about the Magnum charger. The solar charge controller is separate. What model magnum?

Most high end inverter chargers have a remote control, often on an app on the phone. If you have a charger. The app will have charger settings and you can turn it on and adjust to lithium charge parameters.
