2016 thor Tuscany and has anyone removed the fibreglass shower and replaced with ceramic tile? the whole unit has porcelain tile 12X24 front to back on the floor now, find the plastic wall look tacky, size is okay, don't want to get into a pile of trouble when i start,LOL

If you have no flex in the wall system than you add/install ceramic tile. If you have any movement in the wall system than any tile installed will either pop off the wall or crack when the wall moves and flexes...

We have always used a waterproof membrane that is applied to the wall structure with an adhesive... and than the tile goes over this membrane... but the wall needs to be sound...

Hope this helps..

There is a lot of flex in an RV, I wouldnít do it. Also installing tile is going to add a lot of unnecessary weight in my opinion.
