Slide damage to a Newly installed Floor?

I have ripped out all the carpet and laminate in my new to me 2003 Fleetwood Southwind. I an installing LVP throughout the entire motorhome. My question is when looking at many used motorhome S, you could always see an impression in the carpet where the slide rested on the main floor while travelling. My concern is movement of the slide and parking it when its retracted will damage the new LVP. What is the solution?

Thanks!

Some use rigid plastic mats to distribute the weight and save the floor.

I think I’m going to go with a couple large pieces of puck board. Store them behind the couch when the slide is out.
