slide in is now 2 inches above floor?!?

Had vinyl plank installed. Now slide won't sit flush when pulled in. Anyone know what could cause this? It's about 2 inches above floor. Very dangerous. Installer said that it's normal when going from carpet to vinyl plank. Anyone?

You had carpet?
If so you raised floor by maybe 1/2 inch which threw your whole slide off. I see no way it could be put back to fit the way it was. Depending what slide system you have your lucky it still works.

When pulled in, the slides don't have to sit flush on the inside floor.

The important floor fit is when the slides are out (not in).

When your slides are out are the floors flush?

When your slides are in (retracted) do they seal well on the outside walls of the coach? And, when the slides are out (extended) do they seal well with the inside walls of the coach?

Maybe I'm confused? When our slides are in, both of the slide floors are not flush and present trip hazards in the narrow confines of the coach.

If your slide runs on rollers , it always rode higher that the carpeted floor when in , BUT was probably less noticeable.

As mentioned the outside fit to the side of the RV is the big tell , if it has proper fit that's good .

Get a flashlight and look under the slide when in , rollers should be just touching the vinyl ,

As I'm currently in the middle of replacing carpet with vinyl plank , I'll add ( too late to edit my first post ); if you consider the edge of the slide flooring a safety issue ( carpet draped over the edge to hide it before) you can buy child's , swim noodles , and cut from the edge to the center hole length ways and slide them over the slide floor edge when its in , to make it more visible and save your ankles ; while walking through.

The carpet hid a lot that is now exposed with a hard vinyl plank. Carpet runner and piece of pool noodle will do the trick when slide is in. It is a good trade off when compared to how beautiful the floor now looks with slides out, however.
