Slide Not Opening Straight
The front slide on driver's side (HWH) is leaning in at the top by almost an inch. How are they adjusted and is it something I can do?

My advice is to PM azpete. He works for HWH and is a Winnieowner member. He's helped out me and many others. Make sure you ID the type of HWH slide you have, year and model of your MH, etc.

Not sure what your issue is. Are you saying when closed there is a gap at the bottom?

Actually just the opposite. When the slide is out, there is a gap at the top, causing the rubber gasket around the slide to be approximately 1 inch away from sealing against the wall of the coach.

Now I'm totally confused. If it's leaning in at the top, then the bottom has to be further away from the wall, open or closed. Can you give us a more complete description or, better yet, some photos?

I can see why there is confusion. I am inside the coach, looking at slide from doorway (1st picture). The end closest to driver seat seems to be flush, however the other end over the refrigerator is where the problem is. The second photo shows that you can see daylight from the top corner. So the question is, how do you adjust?

On the underside of that slide there are 2 large rails that support/move the slide. There are large adjusting bolts on the end of each that are easy to get to when the slide is out. The hardest decision is which do you adjust??? I would stop the slide just before it’s all the way in and based on those measurements of the gaps, decide which one to adjust...sealing when in being more important than when out.

Like Ivylog said, if you have the slide mechanism like shown in the photos below (room moves on two heavy rails with hyd ram in the center) then there are adjustment bolts at the end of the rail (you can see these bolts on the very right edge of top photo), so you loosen the lock bolts on the mounting plate and turn the adjustment screw to lift or lower the end of the room on those rails. That tilts the top of room in or out.

Thanks CountryB for the photos. I figured it would have something to do with those two rails, but still not sure how to adjust. The first photo is of the rear of the slide. Sorry to be so obtuse.

I would try synchronizing the slide...you do not letup on the switch for 5 seconds after it has stopped moving in both directions. I know this is contrary to what you normally do with hydraulic systems but there is a 3rd cylinder in the slide system. It’s actually good to do this a couple times a year.

Currently have a tech working on replacing the swipe on that slide. Once they are finished, I will run it in and out a couple of times. I have tried adjusting the nut as mentioned above, but can't tell if it made any difference. Currently there is 9/16" difference from end to end at the top. The bottom is the same distance.

Update. Adjustment of the nut did not have the results I had hoped. Still searching for ideas...

So what you are talking about is discrepancy in opening front to back not top to bottom?
