Slide out corner covers
After bumping my head on my slide out corners several times, I finally collided with a corner that sent me to Emergency for 8 Staples. I decided right then to get covers for those sharp edges. After looking everywhere I finally found them at rvproductstoday.etsy.com
For $12 a set a great product!

A lot of people use pool noodles or pipe insulation which also works well but I like to live dangerously and don't use anything.

I saw short pieces of pool noodle material on most slide out corners when I was a snowbird. I had pool noodles on my corners. It is easy to cut and slice to fit. It stays on without any other work.

With my Class A it is not a problem. With my old fifth wheel, I too had set myself flat on my backside more than once until I used Dollar Store pool noodles for the corners. Cut me on my head several times as well. The corners do not have to be that sharp to do so.

Welcome to the club .
7 stitches and a tetanus shot a few years ago after walking into the corner of my bedroom slide.
Pool noodles are now my friend.

For the crafty people on this forum, you can pick up those pool noodles at Dollar Tree. 1 noodle will cover 4 corners. $2 and about 10-15min of work and all 4 of my slides are protected!

After bumping into our front slide, I told DW that we needed to get a pool noodle. Without looking up from her book she said, "Why cut up a perfectly good noodle, it won't protect the slide anyway".
As I looked back at her, she was doing her 'shoulder dance'.
Most times, I do love her.

If you can remember to install whatever protection device you prefer, it seems like you could remember to duck.
And, yes I have bumped my head on my slides, but not lately.

Yeah, but no. You are trying to use logic. But reality has taught me that putting out the noodles upon arrival has saved me headaches from forgetting to duck later on. 🙂

Just like all the other perfect people who are never wrong, and all those other nevers... until the first time. Let's see, slides out and covers on, that's one. Covers off and slides in... that's only twice per trip. Now how many times are people in and out of the basement and around the slides during that one stay???
