Slide out frame pulling away from outer wall

Hello everyone,

Our ‘96 Bounder has an issue with the slide out. The upper right corner looks to be pulling away from the wall of the coach. The metal frame surrounding the slide out has separated at the top near the roof with a noticeable bubble in the outer wall visible down the side.

My question is how exactly does this happen and how rough is it going to be to repair? I know it won’t be cheap in cost or time, but I’m prepared and able to carry out whatever repairs are necessary. It’s not my first time dealing with water damaged walls, but it is my first dealing with damage to a slide out.

Here are a few pictures to give you an idea of the damage. Sorry for the angle. I couldn’t figure out how to rotate them.

To add, I’ve measured with a leveling tool in the slide out in several places. The slide is as level as the coach is. There’s no tilt to it currently. It also rocks with the RV as well, no deflections were noted during sway with wind nor did the slide tilt any with added weight.

I'd say your wall is pulling away from the slide out. You said the wall is bubbled, that's a good sign of delamination.

Usually water damage.
Going to be very expensive. Depend on how is the rest of the coach is like, it may or may not be worth it to repair.
