Slide out issue with 1995 dolphin

Hello folks,

We are new here to this forum but have been traveling with an rv for more than 20 years due to our occupation. (Vendors at fairs)

We very recently purchased a 1995 dolphin that encountered a retracting slide out problem. The slide would only retract a few inches then stop. Another hit of the intellac switch would cause the slide to go back out.

There are no obstructions. No bad motor noise. We were on shore power. From what I gather the manual recommends a slight turn of the circuit limiter 1/8.

We did get the slide in when myself and another gent began pushing on the slide while the switch was pushed. It went in with no problem whatsoever.

Before I call a mobile mechanic or try to get an appointment...should I try the circuit li,inter switch? This is our first rv with slide, so want to get some advice b fore I go ahead and do this.

I did post this in the National forum and this being a July 4th weekend, eyeballs are elsewhere. I decided to post here for more viewing. I am working at an event, so I may not be able to get back to answer any particular questions in a timely matter, but I thank everyone in advance for any advice that may be forthcoming.

Greetings from a newbie to the forum and thanks for any help that can be provided. If you could imagine the chagrin from my wife regarding one other thing that has gone wrong recently...

Sincerely,
Zack n Mack

Make certain that the battery voltage to this circuit is at least 12.5 under load. If it is not, the amperage will be high tripping out the current limiter, stopping operation. Let us know what you find.

Would weight in the slide room be an issue?

My 1994 Avion 5th wheel has the same slide control. My slide had the same problem with the limiter stopping the slide, fixed by oiling all the rollers. Worked much better after that.
