Slide out motor on/off

Hi all, recent owner of 2003 coachmen mirada, new to the RV scene, and having a problem with slide motor...at times works perfectly..other times will engage, begin to slide then stop and makes a clicking sound. A few scenarios I can think of:
1: bad motor
2: not enough juice to motor...on shore power now, but still happens once in a while...
3: slide is binding..
As I said, looking for advice/suggestions.
Thanks in advance for your input
