Slide out seals

I am trying to replace my slide out wiper seals. The gap is 2". these are flat wipers with adhesive strip on the back. Will a 2.75 " or 3" be to wide to flip properly? A 2" would barely touch and I don't think it would be enough to work properly. Also what glue do you recommend for sealing the corners ?

Just ordered a replacement seal for one of my slides. The directions I found were to order the next width up from what you have and then trim it down to make it the same size as what you are replacing.

I ordered flat stock from the REV group and it is 2 3/8" wide. $155/50' roll.

It has about a 1/4" thicker edge that allows the metal retaining strip to hold it well.

I don't see how that is possible with the adhesive on one side and a tapered edge on the other.

If you cut off 1/4 inch or so off the taper side it just reduces the amount of taper. Don't see that as a problem.

It is stupid simple because the adhesive strip is part of the product, so just pull the backing paper off and attach to the rail where the old one went.

P.S. there is NO TAPER

OK, I didn't see that it included the tape strip.
