None, whatsoever. Just make sure to remove shore power before driving away

Perfect answer. You just can't go wrong. Read your owners manual and you know the correct answer for your motor home.

My 2015 Fleetwood Terra SE 33s has an interlock and will only deploy or retract when engine is on in Park with parking brake engaged.

On mine, if you do anything with the jacks or slides with the engine running you get an alarm bell that blows your ear drums apart.

My procedure:

1) Park
2) Hook up utilities (electric, water & sewer) Also much easier on the knees with the slides still in.
3) Jacks down - with key on accessory
4) slides out - with key still on accessory
5) prepare favorite beverage - with the keys in my pocket!!

I did get ahead of myself once and did not hook up shore power first - coach did not care at all - worked just fine. Plenty of battery power available to work both the slides and jacks

Your owners manual should have this procedure listed in order as I have done above - maybe with a different order.

Follow the manufacturer's information. How the slides move may well give you a feeling why the manufacturers information is the way it is. My kitchen and bedroom slides go in and out super easy, I would guess the batteries alone would handle them. My enormous full side single slide is obviously a real load and I would never try it on the batteries alone.

Appreciate all the replies. I think as several have said, there's no problem starting the motorhome engine while plugged into shore power since the "automotive" side is all 12VDC and any shore/generator power is 120VAC. Since you can run the genny while cruising down the road with no probs then shore power shouldn't be an issue either.
Thanks,
Jim
