Your concerns are appropriate as your MH may not be a candidate for such an application. Check with your chassis manufacturer (i.e. Ford or Workhorse) to find out what your tongue weight and towing capacity is. In doing so, You'll also need to consider the combined weight of the Smart Car and the Lift.

FWIW, I have a special build Hydralift engineered and designed to carry my 1,200 lb. Low Speed Vehicle (looks/smells like a golf cart but isn't) and the hydraluic lift itself is a beast weighing in at over 1,300 lbs. That said, my rig is a 45DP and has a 20,000 towing capacity.

This I suppose is an option. We love the ability to back up. The trailer is so small (not much bigger than a dolly) and for the most part stores under the back of the coach. Sticks out from the wheels back which isn't much.

This car is Electric but obviously gassers are available. The EVSE or charge station is installed in the front compartment.

Great toad and does everything we need it to do for the last three years.

Yah, best toad ever for us and of course pretty much no more toad maintenance. Washer fluid every year and maybe wiper blades next year. Hard to take. We put about 1200 km a month on it when we are down south. Lots of fun with the top down.

Now if only the pusher was that little maintenance. :( Someone needs to design an Electric Pusher.

Have a K2 Chassis under our Zephyr, -- Spartan said as long as we don't go over 30,000 lb. On rear axle and tag, we are ok.

I carry a GoldWing Trike and pull a Traverse
