Smartire system

I have a 2000 CC Intrigue with the smartire monitor. It is time for new tires and sender battery replacement and I can find no information. Is the battery replaceable or is the entire sensor/sender replaced. I see that smartire is not supporting the RV market any longer. Thanks for any input. Jim

It appears that Smarttire is out of the rv business. If you have the first generation system, you are out of luck as far as battery replacement. From what I have found out, that specific battery is no longer made. Smarttire did go to a new sender unit after that and I don't know if batteries are available or not.

Look here Recreational Vehicles | Products | SmarTire Systems for info.

I also have the Smartire system and even though I don't need new batteries for the senders I would be interested in knowing were replacements can be found when needed in the future.

cherokeejim: I just got off the phone with Paul at Les Schwab and he confirmed the system was no longer available but he said that he could still get the battery senders since those were still being used by the Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC on commercial vehicles.

Paul is who I purchased my system from and the phone number is below. Good luck and let me know if you are able to get them.

Ken, Thanks for the information. I called Paul and found that my system is obsolete, but there is a newer (and not too dearly priced) system. Also got good information on tires. I hope to be able to visit them for products and service.
