If you go with the ozone machine run it for a short period and see if the smell is gone. If not, run another short cycle. I ran one to deal with a mildew smell and I ran it too long. The smell left behind by the ozone machine was worse than the mildew smell.

You could try RVAir.com. These are just very good filters that go into your AC units. They work really well, and may fix your problem.

We were in Idana, OR, for about two weeks, for the total eclipse, and the smoke was pretty bad. We kept the coach pretty much closed up. The smell was not too bad, and cleared up pretty well when we left.

Once you use them, you will not go back to the cheap foam type.

Here’s a pic from our time in the smoke. This was noon in Waldport. This level of smoke lasted for 2-3 days, it slowly dissipated slowly over the course of the next 2 weeks as the wind changed back to offshore, then we moved inland back to Eugene for work on the RV into it again for another week.

I’ll be working on the odor again this week. Thanks again and please keep the ideas coming
