SnapPads won't stay on
I bought 4 SnapPads for our motorhome. I purchased 9" round SnapPads since the foot pads for the Lippert leveling jacks on our motorhome were 9" in diameter and round. I tried to put these on according to videos seen online and only two of the SnapPads would snap on. I could see that the foot pads for the problem two jacks were bent, so I thought that was the issue. I purchased new foot pads for those two jacks, again 9" in diameter and round and again, the SnapPads just fall off. Any advice? How can I get these things to stay on? I am thinking of trying some type of construction adhesive. If they fall off while I'm driving, I won't be any worse off than I am now.

Same problem on my new motorhome.....one or more 9 inch diameter jack feet were bent so called Lippert who sent me new ones at no charge and SnapPad sent me a replacement for the one we lost. Had an rv service center replace the feet and install the pads for $100 while getting its 12-month service. They have not fallen off since.

I put 3 elevator bolts and lock nuts in two of my problem pads. No issues since

I bought a set 2 months ago but DW had knee replacement. I saw in a video one person put Dawn dish soap in the pads so they'd go on better, not sure if it worked as an adhesive as well when dried. Thanks for the post and heads up!

I also had to bolt mine on the Lippert feet. They kept bending worse, so I ordered new feet from RV Paws. The snap pads snapped right on and have been there ever since.

Contact RV SnapPads for guidance. When I had that problem they told me what to try. As it turned out, I had three of four 9" jack pads "dished" upon delivery from the dealer new.
Without looking straight on I could not tell. They've all stayed in place for five years now.

I put a bead of Sikaflex 221 sealant/adhesive on my SnapPads prior to installing.
Was it the best thing to do? I dunno, but they haven't fallen off.

Snap Pads don't stay on.
We have a 2018 THor Challenger 37FH. I have gone through a set of landing pads and a set of snap pads. I was wondering about the construction adhesive and the bolts and lock nuts solutions and how well they are working. What size and length of the bolts were used to secure the snap pad? 3 bolts each?
I did reach out to Snap Pad Customer Service. The have indicated that the 9 inch leveling pad is not robust enough for the weight of our coach. They recommended going to a 12 inch leveling pad and the 12 inch Snap Pads. I would need to double check their email again on the larger sizes but we have not moved on that options as iI had just replaced the 4 leveling pads and the 4 snap pads and the loosing of one snap pad had just happened.

I think that’s a good idea. If one of mine ever comes off, that’s what I’ll do.

I did use 3 ea. 1/4" bolts and nuts with washers to secure our snap pads on the original 9' pads. That works well, but the pads continued to bend. I replaced them with new feet from RV Paws. They are very heavy and fit into the snap pads like they are supposed to. No bolts, and have not had a problem since. I bought their 9" feet and used the snap pads I already had. This is for our 3901 Aria, so a pretty heavy coach. Not cheap but worth it.

You're on the 24K chassis while we're on the 22K chassis, roughly a 10% difference but that's not material since our axles are almost the same.
We have four 8,000 lb Lippert jacks with the 9" feet. After installing new jack feet the SnapPads went right on with dish soap. Then I washed the jack feet with a hose, thinking that if the dish soap helps the SnapPads go on then any residue may make them come off easier. I got a lot of suds off them.
In over 23,000 miles, six years of travel, we have not lost a single one.
If you decide to go with larger feet you need to measure carefully to assure the jack feet will not hit on any structure. Some people have had that issue.
FWIW,
Ray

Snap pads won't stay in.
Thanks everyone for the quick responce. I have looked at the RV-Paws web site for pricing and also considering the 1/4 bolt and locking nut solution along with the silkaflex 221 adhesive.

Reviewed the RV paws solution with my better half. She thought the RV paws would be a good solution to try, so I ordered 2 sets of 2, a total of 4. They will not be here for our first trip out next week to Holland Michigan, but I will get them installed and the snap pads reinstalled on the RV Paws before our next 3 big trips planned for the season; A week in Branson MO, 4 day family reunion at a state park in upper Indiana and our 54 day trip along the northern US and up to Calgary & Banff Canada to visit some friends and some of the US Northwest national parks.

Follow up
Since I made the original post, I will follow up. After purchasing the new foot pads from Lippert, one of the Snap Pads that had attached fell off somewhere while I was driving and another fell off without me knowing. I drove over it and it cracked. So now I was left with 3 Snap Pads, one of which was still attached, one that I could never get to stay on, and one that was cracked. Additionally, at least one of the new foot pads from Lippert now appeared bent. These foot pads even when new have a very slight curve so are not ideal for the Snap Pads plus they are horribly thin to support the weight of a diesel pusher. I considered trying 12" foot pads; however, I did not have enough clearance between foot pad and rear tires to try this. Finally, RV Paws were on special at Tiffin while I was at Red Bay, AL to have a bunch of warranty work done. I purchased the RV Paws and a new set of Snap Pads. The RV Paws are considerably thicker than the Lippert foot pads and are absolutely flat. The RV Paws and Snap Pads were installed while in Red Bay and they work very well. I'm very happy to have them and they save me all the crawling under the motorhome to place the landing pads under the foot pads. It cost me a bunch of money, but like so many other things in the RV world, so much is learned through the "school of hard knocks" and unfortunately, many of those "hard knocks" are expensive!
