Solar panel '99 Dutch Star

I just bought a 1999 dutch star 38' Diesel motorhome. It has a solar panel on the roof. Wondering if this will charge all batteries? I am new here, this is my first questions. And our first motorhome. Thanks Ron

Welcome!

Do you know if the solar panel is OEM or added later?

I'd suggest looking for the controller and see what it's wired to, or go up on the roof and cover the solar panel with a blanket or a tarp. Take multimeter voltage readings on each battery. (shore power disconnected) Then uncover panel and take readings again (sunny day) The batteries that show a voltage increase would be the ones connected to the panel.

not familiar with dutch start, but mine has 2 pieces of solar panels and they do a good job to charge all batteries. it all depends on how batteries/inverter/solar are wired. test will tell.

Our two DSDP's have only had a 5w panel and it just keeps the battery topped off in storage.
