Some Direct tv Channels freeze when running microwave

Some of our Direct TV channels freeze when we run our Sharp microwave.
We bought our RV new four years ago but this has been happening in the last year.
The affected channels that we have noticed are 229, 230, 278, 283 and 360. Some channels will restart after an hour or two but the others require a restart of the satellite dish. Has anyone experienced a similar problem or have any idea what could be causing this.
If we don’t restart the dish each time, the scheduled programs for those channels look like they are recording and are listed in the Playlist, but when you try to play them, the message comes up for you to “delete”. Nothing was actually recorded.
We are using a Winegard dish, model 40BRTT, mounted on the roof of our Motorhome.
So far Tiffin and Winegard don’t have any answers.
Any help would be so appreciated.

Only when you use the microwave (MW)? Sounds like a power issue! The MW is drawing too many amps and the satellite box crashes. Also, the SWM requires a power source.

I wonder if there is an RF interference. The microwave magnetron puts out a lot of "RF noise" that might be seen from the dish receiver. I doubt it's a power problem since it only affects a few channels. You could verify that by connecting a similar amperage device to same power outlet as the micro to see if that too causes the problem.

Fix would be to temporarily connect a new RG6 cable to the dish on the roof, run the wire through a window away from the microwave to the receiver and see if the problem still exists. If that fixes it, then relocate the wire permanently away from the micro.

Or a new micro since the old one shouldn't be spewing out that RF interference....

I put some LED lights in the ceiling of my rig and the ones near the sat dish did havoc with the dish motor. Was trying to constantly seek sats...put the old florescent lights in and it was fine again. This will now be permanently addressed as I will be remodeling the ceiling...
