Sound insulation?
What products have those of you used to quiet down front gasser noise?
Time to do that as well as insulate under the entry steps were house batteries are located.
No insulation there and door stair well always frigid at night.
Many YouTubes with varied products suggested. I will need to add on top of the existing layer of dog house engine cover to quiet this rig down a bit.
Tnx for suggestions.

Look at summit racing products. That is what I used, worked well.

When I had mine, I bought additional insulation and doubled it up under the hood. Summit racing has a good selection.
I used this type....
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/opg-10001
They also sell spray glue for high temps, but I think the 3M available at Home Depot is fine.....

Lastly, I used this tape to seal the joints where sections of insulation butted together. It's a silver foil tape, NOT a cloth duct tape...
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Nashua-T...2698/100048600
Lastly, once I doubled the cover insulation, I reached under the floor around the engine cover, via the engine cover opening, and added insulation as far as I could reach. On a previous coach, this took a lot of heat off of my right foot, that was feeling engine heat from the floor area, next to the engine cover.

On our 2004 Pace Arrow 37c gasser, I used "Killmat" (tar and foil) all under the doghouse and under the driver and pass side floors as far as I could reach.
I also used an old mattress pad of 3" (egg crate style foam) to line the inside firewall under the dash.
I made a "cover" for the entry stair well so our old half blind puppy does not fall in the hole. THAT seems to cut down on some road noise and it helps insulate the coach too.

Our 2020 jayco did not have any insulation under doghouse or passenger and drivers floor area. JAYCO is now installing as the surface temps in the summer are 131 to 138 degrees F. there is also a safety bulletin out on this

I would suggest looking at Dynamat's Dyna-Hood liner product, which I think is offered in 2-3 different foam thicknesses.

I got some Siless liner and sound deadener off of Amazon. The deadener helps with heat under the dog house and the liner helped a lot with road noise around wheel wells etc. The stuff is fairly inexpensive and easy to put on. Made a huge difference and I still have a lot more to put on.
