Heh. I gave them a CC number when I ordered it. When it showed up, with no associated charge, I called them up. That's when they told me they weren't going to charge me for it. I was more than happy to do so.

Just one other thought, Spartan's culture is very customer focused (what I mean is they seem glad to hear from you when you call their customer service folks) so I think they will continue to support their MH customers regardless of their participation in this segment of the market.
My 2 cents.

I don't understand this statement, Spartan is not going out of business.

What is meant is this: You love your American Tradition. You love your Spartan chassis. You want a new American Tradition with a Spartan chassis. Not available. So do you go with 1) the Freightliner chassis or 2) switch manufacturers?

Say it ain't so! I love my Spartan Chassis it has been absolutely problem free. I know that American Coach does not use the complete Spartan Chassis but only gets the front and rear clips and American Coach puts in the rails sections naming it Liberty Edition. I guess Freightliner could supply the same front and rear sections to American Coach. For me this will be a tough call as I have driven both Freightliner and Spartan and the Spartan rides and handles like a car compared to the Freightliner. That was the main reason I moved way up the Fleetwood food chain and purchased my motorhome was the performance of the Spartan Chassis. I will have to reserve my opinion and do another test drive comparing Spartan to new Freightliner chassis. It could be a deal breaker or no need to move up if all products are going to have Freightliner chassis. That is like comparing a chevy to a respective GMC model, only difference is the body and interior.
