FWIW my Beaver has a 25 inch door opening. I know this would be narrow for a walker, I used a walker for a week when I had both knees replaced. Other than the width I am impressed with the construction of the Beaver over the others, but you have to be able to get inside first.

Make sure the bathrooms have pocket doors, rather than doors that open with a hinge. Getting around a door with walker is difficult. The best would be to find a walk through bathroom, with pocket doors on either end. Those are going to have the most space. If you can't find what you like with a walk through bathroom, you can always just remove the doors completely while he is using it.

Little update...

We saw a 2007 Fleetwood Providence 39V (full length slide out) and it had ample room pretty much anywhere in the coach for him to get around. The finish was nice, but not as nice as the HR Scepter we also checked out - unfortunately that one was a little out of our price range. It was a class higher for sure. The 39V has a fold door into the bathroom which was about 25in wide. Worst case we would take it off so he's not getting caught on it. He will be the only one in there so privacy won't be an issue. This coach also already had an ability lift installed with seat, so appears this was used by someone in a similar situation.

Then we also checked out a 2005 Fleetwood Discovery 39L (2 opposing slides in front and back). This one had a really nice layout not just for him but also for us later down the road when his granny unit is built. The build quality however on this coach was quite a bit lower than the Providence. This one reminded us more of the 2004 Winnebago Adventurer 34U gasser we had. It wasn't bad, but I would think a DP should be a class better than a gasser.

One of the dealers is also getting a Prvidence 39L later next week, so we can compare the fit and finish to the Discovery which left us a bit underwhelmed especially for nearly 90k. On the 39L we would remove the door to the toilette for the above mentioned reason of it being hard to get around with a walker.

Again all, thank you for your kind suggestions and feedback. The search continues and I'll post later once we finally have narrowed it down to the one ;-)
