Spendide dryer

We have a 2013 Tuscany MH and the dryer when being used makes a high pitch whine . I am needing to pull it out and investigating . Is this a 1 person job or the job for a specialist ?

Assuming you have the Splendide washer/dryer combo vented unit.
Have you run it thru the dryer clean out schedule ?
The dryer can accumulate lint that needs to be routinely
removed by running the cleaning protocol. Here it is:

Start the unit without clothes and with the dry time off on cycle # 11. When the water stops entering the unit push and hold the start button until all the lights come on then release the button. *NOTE: If the water is not at least half way up the glass repeat this step.

Move the cycle knob to cycle # 2 push the extra rinse button then press the start button once (do not hold) then let it run through that complete cycle.

Do this 3 times then try the dryer.
Do this 1 time a month to keep clean.

Ours has a loud gear noise while running (it stops at direction change and restarts). Is that what you are talking about or is it something else?

We have the stacked washer/dryer and our drier was making a high pitch sound when running. I pulled the dryer which weighs about 60 lbs. and is a one person job. I narrowed the noise to the drive motor assembly in the lower bottom back of the dryer. Turned out that one of the 2 motor bearings was bad. I found a replacement motor assembly in England and had it shipped to our home. Total cost for motor assembly and shipping was around $115. This was lower than our $200 maintenance insurance deductible. Fairly straight forward job with the most complication being the vent system. Took about 2 hours. I added small rubber insulation the the motor mounting positions to reduce sound, The bearings are made in Romania so quality isn't a high priority since the dryer was new with no prior use.

This is a continuing problem with Splendide dryers. I had the motor changed in the one in my 2013 Phaeton and then it started up again. Tiffin replaced the whole unit with another brand of dryer. So far the one in my new coach is still quiet, but time will tell.
