Splendide 2000S washer/Dryer Combo Won’t Drain.

Hey guys, looking for some help!

Splendide washer, full of water, decides to no longer drain. I can get the unit to work on a wash cycle, but will not drain or rinse or work any further.

Dial turning by itself clockwise and clicking, which has since stopped. We did all of the troubleshooting resets via the manual, but no luck. Seems like the reset will only work with an empty drum.

Next step is to pull the unit and attempt a manual drain.

Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks, John.

Does your model have the debris catcher in front of the pump ?

The catcher is behind the kick panel , and when removed ALL the water will drain , messy in your situation but you wouldn't have to move the machine , just mop up .

Not sure where the debris catcher is located, but I’ll be finding out soon!

Mine is a 2100 series , purchased in 2011 , so yours maybe doesn't have it , kick panel removal and cleaning of the catcher was detailed in the manual .

Not draining ; your pump motor may have died , so you could be looking to remove the unit anyway.

Our WP front load washer also would not drain. Would fill, wash and then would stop when time to drain. It was the pump. Easy repair! That would be my first thought

Before you get to far into it, call the number in the manual. They know their stuff and can save you a bunch of work.

It sounds like a bad pump!

That coin trap screws into the front of the pump. When I bought mine it was overtightened and stopped the pump. A coin could do the same.

Interesting, we removed 6 coins from debris catcher. Going to inspect pump before ordering one. The unit is in our bathroom, very tight, this should be fun!

I know exactly what your up against ;

My coach was pre-plumbed for the washer , and I installed it . My walk through bathroom , the pocket door to the kitchen was too narrow , to get it in . The pocket door to the bedroom was wide enough . The washer had to come into the coach through the escape window , onto the bed , rotate and through the door into the bathroom . Once in the bathroom there was only room for the machine and I ... and then the fight started .

Put the catch back on and run it. It's likely just fine.

i had a the same problem some years ago. After not using the washing machine for one year it wouldn't pump the water out. I removed the cover on the pump and it would start if i manually started it. Be a cheap skate I rigged up something on a electric drill and spun the pump with the drill for about a minute. That was about 10 years ago and it's still working. But we try to use it every 6 months of so.
