A single tide pod would be detergent overdose in our Splendide. Ours only needs about a tablespoon of any liquid laundry detergent. Tide pod instructions are for a normal sized top loader washer set at small/medium load and which uses way more water than the little splendide.

Tide Pods is WAY too much detergent for the Splindide combo unit. By the HE in a bottle and measure it per the instructions.

The combo unit works great ( almost 7 years full time use now) IF you follow the instructions on the machine. It is not a large home unit and does not take as large of a load.

Yes we have the manuals. We just wanted to hear the voice of experience from other IRV2 owners. So glad we asked, the response has be tremendous, a wealth of good information.

Our Splendide 2000s lasted 12 years. We are getting it replaced next week with a current version.

Pods did not work for us. Noticed a plastic splotch on my shirts, and my wifes blouse after using Tide pods. Went back to regular HE detergent, all is well. Side benefit...regular detergent is cheaper than pods.
