Squeaky entry door

I have a terrible squeaky door on my Fleetwood discovery 40g when driving.

Tracked it down to the latch mechanism. Wrapped Teflon tape around the striker and it stops. However, it eats through the Teflon in a few hundred miles. Then I have to scrap it off and re apply.

Any better way to kill the squeak?

Thanks!

We have a squeaky door latch as well. My wife says the simple solution is to close the door, lock the deadbolt, and then open the door latch. It has worked for us.
