Squeaky Steering Wheel

Turning the steering wheel much more than a half turn produces an annoying squeal almost like a door in need of oil.

Any harm spraying a bit of lithium spray lube into the column? Wouldn't want to short something.

In our coach there is a plastic cover around the steering column.. There is a grease fitting in there.

Use only silicone spray. Not sticky, does not attract dirt, gets into hard to get to places, does not hurt plastic, cheap to buy. Use the straw.
