Ditto. Carpet knife worked perfectly for me. Better application of force than a plain utility knife.

When i first tried to cut my stall mats with a circular saw i very quickly realized it wasn't going to work. It cut poorly, and made an awful mess. i used a utility knife with a new blade and it cut like butter. i did make my cuts on the low area between the raised parts.

Utility knife is what I used but those things are HEAVY! I quit using them and now use 2x8’s.

I used reciprocating sawz-all. I might try utility knife next time for cleaner edges, but reciprocating saw would come out again if that wasn’t going well. Love my stall mat leveling blocks.

i use the 1/2" stall mats, and use a sharp utility knife, make several passes to score through slowly.

it takes about 5 passes to get through.

I've used a jigsaw with a knife blade. Not always easy to find the blade, but they are out there.

cuts easy

use a utility knife & new blades but the key is to have a 2x4 under the cut area so that the mat opens the gap as you make the cut.

I use Horse Stall Mat which has a really good comfort overall which I think you should take a closer look at if you should choose maybe in the future.
